U.S. History 8
 
Unites States History 8 is a course of study based on the roots of our nation. This course encompasses multiple disciplines in the field of Social Sciences including: Geography, Economics, Political Science, History, and Sociology. It begins with the formation of the 13 original American Colonies,interaction with the natives, the roots of slavery, the road to the American Revolution, the development of our U.S.Constitution, the challenges of the Westward Expansion, and struggles of the Civil War leading to the Reconstruction and Industrialization Era. It includes the analysis and evaluation of various primary and secondary sources and multiple points of view attempting to find truthful and accurate information regarding the foundation of our nation. This course is designed to focus on civic responsibility throughout all study units. It emphasizes rights, freedoms, and responsibilities we all have as Americans and global citizens. This is a blended course with technology as an essential tool for research and learning.
