Curriculum sources:
Common Core Standards
A successful implementation of the new California Common Core State Standards will require parent support and understanding. Now is the time to begin informing parents and families about the Common Core Standards. The California Mathematics Council encourages your school to share these resources with your community.

These resources have been compiled by the California Department of Education for parents and guardians interested in learning more about the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and how to support their child’s attainment of these standards.
What are the Common Core Standards?
Informational Flyers
Informational flyers providing overviews and highlights of the CCSS, available in five languages.
Parents' Guide to Student Success
A guide, available in English and Spanish, for the CCSS in grades K-8 and two for grades 9-12 (one for English language arts/literacy and one for mathematics) created by the National PTA. The guide includes key items that children should be learning in each grade and activities parents can do at home to support their child's learning.
